Devotion over Discipline


What would it feel like if you pursued your goals through the ritual of devotion instead of the pressure of discipline?


Most of us are taught to push harder, try more, get it together, stick to the plan. But in my life — and in my coaching work — I’ve found something different to be true:

✨ Devotion works better than discipline. It’s more sustainable. More nourishing. Way more honest.

Discipline says do it perfectly or not at all.
Devotion says come back to what matters, again and again.

Less forcing. Less self-shaming. More presence, more purpose, more alignment.

That’s the energy I’m moving with this summer — and it’s what I help my clients reconnect to, too.


MY JULY INTENTIONS


This summer, I’m practicing devotion through six simple pillars I use with my clients — rhythms that keep me connected to my energy, values, and joy:

🌿 Life Path Alignment
→ Nap-sprint work sessions mapped in Asana. Less mental clutter = more clarity during the moments I do have time.

🥗 Holistic Nourishment
→ Low/no-cook meals that keep things colorful and cool. Two giant water jugs a day. Caffeine, dialed back.

🕯 Rituals, Rhythms, + Routines
→ Out-hike the heat first thing. Morning nature hikes with Henry. Movement as ritual, not checkbox.

💃 Embodied Wellbeing
→ My hair is none of my business anymore. I’m letting her do what she wants — humidity and all.

👯 Conscious Community
→ Saying yes to connection — mom plans, kind strangers, simple moments of “yes, me too”

🧺 Streamline + Simplify
→ Rotating a summer uniform of linen jumpsuits and cotton basics = fewer decisions, more ease

This is what devotion looks like: small, steady choices that actually feel good.
