Holistic Nourishment - What Does it Mean?

As we blossom fully into the summer season of lush new growth, I want to invite you to ponder what Holistic Nourishment means to you.

When I work with clients, we take a deep look at not only the foods you're including in your day-to-day, but the other more nuanced factors that surround it, and I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY!

Before we get moving with the tips in this series, I invite you simply check in to see where you are now, and ask yourself the following questions:

WHO:

  • Am I listening to when making my food choices? (Diet culture? Nana? My own wants and cravings? Instagram Influencer? Gwyneth?)

  • Grows and makes my food?

  • Am I enjoying my meals with?

WHAT:

  • Are my current beliefs around food?

  • Am I using for inspiration around meals?

  • Are my priorities when it comes to food? (Ease? Speed? Nutrition content?)

  • Do I love about food?

  • Impacts my ability to nourish my body the way I want to?

WHEN:

  • Am I eating, and how often?

  • Do I notice myself judging what I eat?

  • Do I have the most fun around food?

WHERE:

  • Do my meals take place? In the car? At the countertop? At the end of my child's meal eating whatever is left?

  • Do I get my nutrition information from?

  • Do I shop for food?

  • Would I rather shop for food?

HOW:

  • Would I describe my current relationship to food and nourishment?

  • Do I make time to prepare my meals?

  • Do these foods make me feel? Physically? Mentally? Spiritually?

  • Does this impact my life?

  • Can my nourishment practice help me to embody and live out the vision I created through the Aligned Visioning Series?

As you think about your answers to these questions, most importantly consider how these answers make you FEEL.

Does this align with how you WANT to feel on a regular basis, why or why not?

Are there any actions you can take around to get closer to the way want to feel, and how your nourishment practices can be a tool to help you get there.
