Join us in the first of a 4 part workshop series in 2017!

New Year’s Day will have come and gone...

Maybe you journaled some resolutions. Perhaps you’re freaked out because you feel like you should have, but didn’t, and now 2017 is just going to be like any other year. Maybe the whole thing leaves you feeling overwhelmed and disenchanted, but you know you still want this year to be different.

We begin by taking inventory of our current state, decoding our desires, simplifying the noise, and honing in on our body’s own wisdom to gain a clear, specific, and uplifting picture of what we want the experience of our lives to be. Rooting into our intentions in preparation for massive growth and evolution.

It's SO much easier to get where you're going if you can clearly visualize the destination. So, we root down and seal our intentions into a physical form. We get our hands dirty by creating a visual representation of your beautiful life in the form of a Visioning Luminaria. Place a candle in the center, light up your intention, and let your future glow.

Hello!
The Holiday Eating (and drinking) Season is OFFICIALLY upon us!

I'm still recovering from the election, and from turning 29, just in time for hectic holiday family shenanigans.

It's no secret that this season is prime time for focused self-care. The traveling, the shopping, the planning, the cooking, the socializing...It's all wonderful fun, but if you get too caught up in it, you are at risk for physical and emotional burnout.

Take the time for yourself to get your head on straight, treat your body right, and make sure you feel amazing, all season long.

Are you ready?
Here are some resources to help you get prepared for what's to come.

Watch it!

I've been loving leaf on Youtube.
Watching their videos is both soothing and inspiring for my braincells.

A Giggle
Holiday Feast

Movin' and Groovin'
Dance it out with The Fitness Marshall

Namasté Bitches
Yoga for Digestion
...don't forget your digestive enzymes!

Challenges:
Nothing official here, but I DO challenge you to drink one or two more glasses of water each day this week, than you normally do.
You already know all the benefits to your health, as they're listed in practically every health article on the internet.
You can even make a drinking game out of it:
Every time *that* uncle says something awful at Thanksgiving, or if mom does something really mom-like (like wanting to look in your ears) or when your brother's kid has a melt-down...
Take a sip!

Cheers and I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving.
All my love,
Caitlin

Cold Hands, Warm Hearth Winter Lifestyle Nourishment: A Challenge

Greetings Well-Beings!

I don't know about you, but as I walk through my years on in this life, the Winters feel longer, more harsh, and more difficult to get through. Every year, I wish for the crocuses to pop up, the smell of dirt to return, and the salt to be on the rim of my margarita, instead of
on my boots.

I once read an article by the brilliant life coach Martha Beck about "Having a February", which, as I've interpreted, is basically having a month long Monday.
I don't know if it's Seasonal Affective Disorder, the lack of fresh air from staying out of the cold weather, or the post holiday blues combined with the pre-spring apprehension, but what I do know, is that now is the perfect time to create small but powerful shifts in your day-to-day focus.
Shifts that will enhance your quality of life, making this typically challenging time, feel joyful, healthy and serene.

Sylvia Plath once wrote:
“If neurotic is wanting two mutually exclusive things at one and the same time, then I'm neurotic as hell. I'll be flying back and forth between one mutually exclusive thing and another for the rest of my days.”

I feel this is a fitting sentiment, because as eager as I always am to get winter over and done with, I equally love digging my heels in, engaging and indulging in the warm and grounding vibe this season gives us.
I love having a reason to throw on a gigantic sweater, make a comforting beverage, and allow some things lie dormant, even if just for a while.

Enter:
Cold Hands, Warm Hearth
Winter Lifestyle Nourishment Instagram Challenge

Why Cold Hands Warm Hearth?
The hearth has long been the symbol of the heart of the home, where nourishment of the body and soul come together. When I think if hearth, I think of love, warmth, good cozy food, a toasty fire, hot delicious beverages, the comfort of family, and close friends. The hearth is the spatial host for winter bliss. It is the spirit of The Hearth that I hope to awaken, in order to joyfully close out the remainder of this month feeling integrated and ready to greet the spring feeling rested, taken care of, and nourished in your body and soul.

That's why I've created this challenge, so for 15 days, we can nourish our souls, and nurture the summer that lives inside all of us.
Taking the time to engage in these pleasures in the depths of this season, to focus on the sensuousness and grounding we can experience in our bodies and souls.

BONUS!
